CDC Investments is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDC IXIS - CDC Finance ("CDC IXIS"), the AAA rated open-market division of France's public-sector institution Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations ("CDC Group"), one of the world's largest financial institutions. Headquartered in Paris, CDC Group has nearly a 184 year record of providing financial services. Donald Plotsky is Director of Sales and Client Services at CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments). He joined CDC Investments as Vice President in September of 1997 with responsibility for the development of relationships with major financial institutions. Mr. Plotsky has worked with these institutions to structure investment solutions that have included investments in CDC Investments’ funds, as well as the creation of separate accounts and dedicated fund structures. Prior to joining CDC Investments, Mr. Plotsky was Marketing Director of Milestone Asset Management, where he was responsible for product development and sales. He was also Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Advisers Capital Management, responsible for all mortgage-backed investing and a member of the investment policy committee. Additionally, he was Vice President and co-head of the Structured Mortgage Products Group at Equitable Capital Management. Mr. Plotsky began his investment career in 1985 as a portfolio manager for Hutton Risk Management, Inc., a subsidiary of EF Hutton Group, focusing on mortgage-backed arbitrage opportunities. He received his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University in 1988 and his B.S. from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1982.

D. Sykes Wilford is the Chief Investment Officer of CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) and he is responsible for its various product lines, sales and client services functions and risk management for CDC Investments’ markets. Mr. Wilford joined CDC Investments in May 1997 as the Managing Director and co-Head of the Global Dynamic Asset Allocation Group. Mr. Wilford was formerly the Chief Investment Officer of Bankers Trust’s Private Bank and Managing Director of Bankers Trust’s Global Investment Management. He was responsible for the Bank’s global asset allocation strategies, advising clients on their risks, day-to-day product management and overall performance of the Private Bank’s management. Mr. Wilford was also actively involved in general product creation and distribution. Previously Mr. Wilford held the position of Managing Director of Chase Manhattan Bank N.A. as global component executive for the Portfolio Strategies Group in the Risk Management Sector of the Bank. In this function he was responsible for developing and managing the Bank’s Global Enhancement Management business and chairing its Investment Committee in London. Prior to that, Mr. Wilford directed Chase’s Global Commodity Risk Management and European Index Linked Derivative Products businesses and was Director of the Chase Europe Development Institute as Head of Chase’s global Treasury product development and education efforts. Mr. Wilford was an Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as well as Chief International Fixed-Income Strategist for Drexel Burnham Lambert in London. Mr. Wilford, whose main research interests are monetary economics and international finance, has written in both the academic and popular press. His articles have appeared in research journals such as the American Economic Review and the Journal of Finance, as well as many market oriented publications. He has both authored and edited several books, ranging from economic policy in developing countries to Managing Financial Risk. Mr. Wilford’s interests are not limited to research; he frequently speaks to corporations, central banks and governments, at seminars and to the media on the topic of financial innovations and methodologies for analyzing international markets. He has been a visiting faculty member at several universities, including New York University, Pace University, L’Universite de Saint-Louis in Brussels, Belgium and The University of New Orleans, and presently he holds visiting professorships at City University of London. Mr. Wilford received his Ph.D. in Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1976, his M.S. in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1973 and his B.S. in Economics from the University of Tennessee in 1971.

Jose M. Quintana joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in May 1997 as the Managing Director and co-Head of the Global Dynamic Asset Allocation Team. Mr. Quintana was previously Vice President and Head of Quantitative Research for the Strategic Asset Allocation team in the Global Investment Management Group of Bankers Trust Company. Mr. Quintana was responsible for the development and implementation of quantitative strategic dynamic global and domestic asset allocation models for managing a variety of global investment programs ($2 billion assets approximately), supervising the trading execution of these strategies via derivatives (forwards, futures, options and portfolio swaps). Formerly, Mr. Quintana was a Vice President in the Global Risk Management Sector of the Chase Manhattan Bank. He was responsible for developing and implementing global asset allocation strategies for managing internal and external investment programs ($1 billion assets approximately). Prior to that Mr. Quintana was a Vice President of Chase Investors Management Corporation’s Indexing and Hedging Group responsible for developing and maintaining forecasting and optimization models for managing client portfolios of currency forward contracts ($0.5 billion assets approximately). Mr. Quintana also served as a staff supervisor for AT&T’s Market Analysis and Forecasting Directorate. Mr. Quintana’s research interests are Bayesian forecasting and optimal decision making in the investment management context. He has published articles in both the academic and popular press on topics ranging from dynamic statistical modeling to optimization algorithms to portfolio management techniques. Mr. Quintana has made presentations at the University of Chicago and Duke University, as well as several international conferences. Mr. Quintana received his Ph.D. in Statistics in from Warwick University in England in 1987, and his M.S. in Statistics & O.R. and his B.A. in Actuary from Autonomous University of Mexico in 1981 and 1976 respectively.

Charles Schoenig joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in September 1992. His responsibilities include mortgage-backed securities trading and portfolio management. From 1985 to mid-1992, Mr. Schoenig was a Managing Director in the Structured Mortgage Portfolio Division at Equitable Capital Management Corporation. From 1982 to 1985, Mr. Schoenig was an Investment Analyst in the Pension Segment of Equitable Life Assurance Society, where he was responsible for creating and enhancing an Asset/Liability Modeling System for Guaranteed Investment Contracts. Mr. Schoenig received his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University in 1985 and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Finance and Marketing in 1982.

Andrew Dalton joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in October 1997 as Vice President and Portfolio Manager, responsible for the day-to-day management of the portfolios in the Global Dynamic Asset Allocation Team. Previously, Mr. Dalton was a Vice President at Bankers Trust Company responsible for quantitative asset allocation within the Private Bank. In this capacity, Mr. Dalton developed and managed allocation models for the private bank’s discretionary funds and for a fund of funds vehicle comprised of hedge funds. Additionally, Mr. Dalton advised the institutional asset allocation department on Global Asset Allocation. Prior to working at Bankers Trust, Mr. Dalton worked on the development and implementation of Global Asset Allocation models for Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Dalton received his M.B.A. in Finance from City University Business School, London in 1991 and a B.S.C. in Mathematics from the London School of Economics in 1981.

Mr.  Erik Norland

Erik Norland joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in June 1997 as a quantitative analyst in the Global Dynamic Asset Allocation Group (GDAA) and currently works as a portfolio strategist. His primary responsibilities include assisting with portfolio strategy and providing support for the sales and client service staff. Additionally, he contributes actively to the research effort as well as writing articles for financial publications on a variety of topics related to the management of the GDAA funds. Previously, he conducted research for an earlier generation of quantitative models at Bankers Trust. Mr. Norland received an M.A. in statistics from Columbia University in 1999 and a B.A. in economics and political science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1996.

Mr. Grillo joined CDC Investment Management Corp. (CDC Investments) in April 2000 as a Director and Senior Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for agency mortgage-backed securities trading. Prior to joining CDC Investments, Mr. Grillo was Managing Director/Principal of Global Advisors Inc. from January 1999 to January 2000. Before joining Global Advisors Inc., Mr. Grillo was with III Offshore Advisors as Senior Trader and Portfolio Manager for both the U.S. Dollar-MBS and G7 Arbitrage books from November, 1995 to January, 1999. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Grillo was employed by J.P. Morgan & Co. where he graduated from the J.P. Morgan’s Global Fixed Income Training Program. As a Vice President at J.P. Morgan, Mr. Grillo’s main focus was on the structuring and development of relative value trades using interest rate derivative markets to asset swap duration neutral trades. Mr. Grillo received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration at St. John’s University in 1990.

A. Nicholas DeMonico joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in February 1991 and is a Senior Portfolio Manager currently responsible for liability management and relative positioning for several of the mortgage-backed funds. Formerly, Mr. DeMonico managed the Global Relative Value Fund and Treasury and Proprietary Trading Groups at CDC Capital, Inc. He joined CDC Capital, Inc. as a proprietary trader in dollar and non-dollar arbitrage. Prior to CDC Capital, Inc., he managed the global arbitrage portfolio at Chemical Bank, N.A. He also managed the Cash Futures Arbitrage Desk at Merrill Lynch and assisted in the development of their Global Arbitrage Group in London. Mr. DeMonico received his M.B.A. in 1980 and his B.A. in 1976 from Columbia University.

Mark V. Hanlon joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) as a Vice President in March 1998. His responsibilities include mortgage-backed securities trading and portfolio management. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Hanlon was a mortgage-backed securities trader at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation trading credit sensitive mortgage-backed securities. Prior to Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities, Mr. Hanlon was a mortgage-backed securities trader at Nikko Securities Co. International Inc., trading Agency CMOs. C. Peter Paterno is the Chief Operating Officer of CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments). Mr. Paterno is currently responsible for all non-portfolio management related activities, which include: operations, accounting, technology, legal, compliance, credit, facilities, and general administration that is necessary to run the day-to-day activities of the firm. Mr. Paterno joined CDC Investments in May 1997 as Vice President and Business Manager. Immediately prior to joining CDC Investments, Mr. Paterno managed private accounts and consulted for hedge funds and financial institutions. Jason Wolin joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in May 1997. Mr. Wolin’s responsibilities include the research and management of quantitative U.S. equity portfolios. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Wolin worked as portfolio manager at Bankers Trust Company where he helped manage over $2 billion in an Asset Allocation strategy including $500 million in U.S. equities. Prior to Bankers Trust, Mr. Wolin worked as a project manager in the Financial Systems group at JP Morgan & Co. Mr. Wolin earned his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University in 1998 and his B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University concentrating in Management Information Systems in 1989.

Steven Klopukh joined CDC Investment Management Corporation (CDC Investments) in January 1999 as a fundamental equity analyst for the U.S. Core Equity strategies. His principal duties include financial analysis and intrinsic valuation of large capitalization U.S. companies and incorporating Economic Value Added (EVA®) principles in evaluating investment decisions. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Klopukh worked in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. and as an equity analyst at Ryan, Beck & Co. from 1993 to 1995, where he covered financial institutions. Mr. Klopukh received his M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in June 1997 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Economics and Finance in 1992. Mr. Klopukh is a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1995 and a member of the Association of Investment Management & Research and New York Society of Security Analysts.
