Bernard R. Horn Jr., is president and portfolio manager of Polaris Capital Management, Inc. a leading Boston-based global and international value equity firm. Mr. Horn founded Polaris in April 1995 to expand his existing client base dating to the early 1980s. Mr. Horn brings more than 20 years of global investment experience to the Freedom International Fund. Mr. Horn?s pure global value philosophy combines a quantitative global valuation model and investment technology with traditional fundamental research. His twenty-year track record exceeds most current competitors in length and has produced high risk-adjusted returns since inception. Known as forerunner in global and international investing, Mr. Horn was recently profiled in the January 2004 issue of SmartMoney Magazine. He has been highlighted in Business Week, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other national publications, and he has appeared on CNBC, CNNfn and Bloomberg TV to discuss global market trends. His written work includes: ?Portfolios Need International Infusions? and ?Review Appealing International Valuations? both published in 2003 in Physician?s Money Digest; and ?International Investing Strategies? published in 1983 in the American Association of Individual Investors Journal. Prior to founding Polaris Capital Management, Mr. Horn served as an investment officer for MDT Advisers, Inc. with responsibility for a $40 million component of an ERISA portfolio. He also worked as a vice president and portfolio manager for Freedom Capital Management Corporation from 1990 to 1992. This position led to the firm?s current sub-advisory relationship with the Freedom International Fund commencing in 1998. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Horn was the principal and founder of Horn & Company, an investment counseling firm that specialized in global portfolio management for individuals, trusts, and tax qualified accounts. In July 1989, he formed the Global Value Limited Partnership (predecessor to Polaris Global Value Fund) for the purpose of serving existing and new clients. The Thrift Investors Limited Partnership was formed in 1986. Mr. Horn was responsible for the formation, fund raising, administration, marketing, and management of both funds. Mr. Horn is a graduate of Northeastern University (1978) with a B.S. in business administration and holds a master?s of science degree in management from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management at M.I.T (1980). Thesis title: "The Pricing of Commodity Options", Faculty Advisors: Professors Fischer Black, Robert C. Merton. In addition to his responsibilities at Polaris, Mr. Horn is actively involved in many volunteer activities and has held fiduciary positions including director at Lexington Savings Bank, a $300+ million public company. Sumanta Biswas joined Polaris Capital Management, Inc. as an analyst in January 2002 after completing an internship with the firm, and has since been promoted to assistant portfolio manager. His responsibilities include performing financial analysis and research, and quantitative and fundamental analysis of potential investment opportunities, as well as day-to-day management of Polaris? Global Valuation Model. Mr. Biswas contributes measurably to the success of the Polaris portfolios. Mr. Biswas received a Master of Science degree in Finance from Boston College in 2001, and an MBA from Calcutta University in India in 1996. He earned his undergraduate degree from North Bengal University in 1993, and holds a diploma in Business Finance from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. He is currently a Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination program. Mr. Biswas? professional experience includes completion of an internship at Delta Partners of Boston in 2001 where he served as an equity research analyst. From 1996 through July of 2000 he was an officer of the Securities and Exchange Board of India. In 1995 he participated in the initial public offering of Electro Steel Casting, Ltd. of India while interning at IFB Finance Ltd. of India. In 1993 he was an engineering project manager trainee with Bridge & Roof Company of Calcutta, India, one of the largest construction companies in India.

Andry Sutanto joined Polaris Capital in January of 2005 as an analyst. His initial role is focused on building efficiencies in the proprietary investment technology that is an integral part of the firm's investment process, as well as quantitative research. Mr. Sutanto most recently served as a research and teaching assistant for the finance and MIS departments at Northeastern University, where he is currently a candidate to receive dual degrees of Master of Finance and Master of Business Administration in December 2005. He was previously a computer engineer with the Cambridge Research Group. Mr. Sutanto is a graduate of Boston University.
